Coach Stores Explained: Flagships, Boutiques and What You Will Find
Tapestry’s annual report states that Coach closed its 2026 fiscal year, on 27 June 2026, with 973 stores under its direct operation. The breakdown is 336 stores in North America alongside 637 internationally. You may also see a figure of about 1,299 stores, yet that total includes all of Tapestry’s brands, not Coach on its own. By some accounts, Tapestry has said it plans around 50 net new Coach stores in fiscal 2027, roughly three quarters of them outside North America. Inside that estate sit flagship Coach House locations, ordinary full-price boutiques, department store concessions and Coach Outlet stores. Searching for a coach store can therefore throw up very different formats, from a multi-floor flagship to a unit in an outlet village. Taking it city by city, this guide looks at the best-recorded locations and points out each place where a store’s current status remains to be checked.
| Site | Store format | Current status in September 2026 | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|

| London, 200–206 Regent Street | Coach House flagship store | Opened 2016 | Craftsmanship Bar noted in reports |
| Tokyo, Ginza | Flagship | Reportedly reopened in December 2025 | First Japanese flagship goes back to 2002 |

New York: Coach House on Fifth Avenue
New York, where Coach was established in 1941, houses the brand’s most famous flagship. The Coach House at 685 Fifth Avenue coach tote bags opened in the fall of 2016 to celebrate the brand’s 75th anniversary. The store was reported to measure about 20,000 square feet over three floors, and it was designed with William Sofield’s Studio Sofield. Coach has reportedly leased about 13,200 square feet at 645 Fifth Avenue for a new Coach House, so the current address is not a long-term home. Coach is targeting 2027 for the intended move, while David Yurman is said to have leased the 685 Fifth Avenue space and is set to open there in early 2029. Because it has not been confirmed whether the current store is still open on a given day, consult Coach’s store locator before planning a special journey. Listed on the locator as well is a Coach store at 20 Hudson Yards, not far from Tapestry’s headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards.
London: The Coach House on Regent Street
The site of London’s Coach House is 200–206 Regent Street, where it launched in 2016 as a worldwide concept store. It was also designed with Studio Sofield, which gives it a family resemblance to the New York flagship. Coverage at the time described a Craftsmanship Bar for monogramming and personalisation. A Made to Order bar for the Rogue bag was also reported, and made-to-order Rogue pieces reportedly take around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks with exotic skins. Some writers have given the wrong opening year because one retail-district listing shows a much later page date. Tapestry said on its August 2026 earnings call, according to a published transcript, that the UK, plus some wholesale business, is the only part of Europe where Coach has material penetration. Before you go, check which services are currently offered if you are planning a personalisation appointment.
Tokyo: Ginza
For Japan, Coach’s flagship sits in Tokyo’s Ginza district. Coach launched its first Japanese flagship there in 2002 and refreshed the store in 2015. Reports of the relaunch say that the studio CURIOSITY reimagined the store, which reopened on 19 December 2025. Japan also matters for services, because select Japanese stores reportedly join the Coach (Re)Loved trade-in exchange. That scheme reportedly takes gently worn all-leather retail bags while leaving out outlet items and canvas pieces. Contact the store before bringing a bag along, since the Japanese stores involved were not confirmed. Opening times and available services are best checked shortly before a visit, as is true of every flagship in this guide.
Greater China: An Old Shanghai Record, Plus Hong Kong and Chongqing
Compared with New York or London, Coach’s large stores in Greater China are less well documented. An old record, now out of date, notes that a flagship of about 7,000 square feet opened its doors on Huai Hai Middle Road in Shanghai in April 2010. Its current status could not be verified, so do not assume the Shanghai store is open today. Coverage also indicates that Coach operates a global flagship in Hong Kong and a two-storey glass flagship in Chongqing. Likewise, no opening date was confirmed for either of those two stores. The annual report counts 637 international stores among Coach’s 973 directly operated stores, but it provides no breakdown by city. Older press coverage is no substitute for Coach’s local store locator, so anyone travelling should use the locator when planning a visit.
Boutiques and Concessions in Britain
Coach’s UK store locator also shows full-price stores beyond Regent Street, namely at Westfield London in White City and Westfield Stratford City. St Pancras and the Promenade Level at Canary Wharf are further London options. Beyond London, the documented full-price store is located at the Bullring in Birmingham. Coach also trades through concessions inside Harrods in Knightsbridge and Selfridges on Oxford Street, where a Coach Playground space has been promoted. Do not assume a local branch exists in Manchester, Edinburgh or other cities without checking, because no stores there were confirmed. If you are looking up coach uk locations, the list above gathers the documented full-price options as this guide was written. Each listed store has its own page on Coach’s UK website, which is the safest place to confirm hours and services.

Shopping at Coach Outlet Stores
Coach Outlet stores are part of Coach’s own network, not independent discounters, and Coach marks them as outlets in its store locator. Outlet centres are where you will generally find the stores, and Coach has reportedly opened Coach Coffee Shop concepts at Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Common in the United States. In the UK, Coach Outlet stores are verified at Bicester Village, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Ashford Designer Outlet. A store at York Designer Outlet has been reported but not confirmed, so check before making the journey. Outlet stock is partly made for the outlet channel, and the only share figure found, around 85%, goes back to 2014, so today’s mix is unknown. Assortments also take in earlier-season styles and, under the reported “One Coach” strategy, some full-price collection product. Before a coach outlet trip, review the current offers: promotions change, and coupon-site sale calendars could not be verified.
What to Expect Inside a Coach Store
A full-price coach store puts the focus on the current handbag range, and also carries small leather goods, clothing and shoes. The bag families shoppers will recognise in 2026 include the Tabby (introduced in 2019), the Brooklyn (launched in August 2024) and the Empire Carryall (released in February 2025). In the US, a Tabby 26 was spotted at $475 and an Empire Carryall 34 at $450, yet these are market observations, not an official price list. Some stores also take part in the (Re)Loved trade-in, which runs in North America retail stores plus select UK and Japan stores. Coach Insider, the no-cost loyalty programme, reportedly covers both Coach and Coach Outlet, so one membership spans both formats. A receipt from a Coach store provides useful proof of where a coach bag came from, particularly since Coach says it does not authenticate merchandise. In charge of creative direction is Stuart Vevers, who remains Creative Director in 2026; his appointment was announced in June 2013.
How to Plan a Visit
A little preparation prevents wasted journeys, especially while the New York flagship is preparing to move. Since Coach’s store locator lists full-price stores separately from Coach Outlet locations, start with the version for the country you are visiting. For a trade-in, confirm that the specific store participates and that your bag is all leather rather than canvas. For personalisation or made-to-order services, check ahead of time whether the service is available. Tax-free shopping for tourists in Great Britain ended on 1 January 2021, so visitors to Britain will find no VAT refund to plan around. Each receipt shows where a bag was bought if questions come up later, so keep every one. Offers change often, so look up current promotions before a long trip to an outlet centre.
- Check the store locator on the day of travel.
- Confirm store participation and bag eligibility for a trade-in.
- Personalisation services should be booked ahead.
- Retain a receipt for every purchase.
